I'm Fresh. I'm from Brownsville, Brooklyn. I make music and party for a living.
2.) How did you get started in your career?
I always loved music, but was always side tracked trying to get money. I moved to LA when i was 14 to play basketball, and escape the oppressions of the hood. That is where I learned dreams were real because I seen black millionaires who've dealt with the same issues I had, and made it. I used that vision and experience and came back to NY in seek of success. That got derailed quickly when I needed money, but I didnt know what I wanted to be successful in. So I started selling weed to get money so I could survive independently. I always loved music but never thought I could make a living from it because it was unrealistic in the hood. I decided to leave once more in search of an answer. I enrolled at Texas Southern University in Houston. Thats where I started taking music very serious. I would battle every and anyone who claimed they was nice. I also did shows and got offered a couple of independent deals. I later dropped out and moved back to NY again ready to take on the music biz. I went online and located numbers to every studio in the city, and I went door to door for an internship. I landed a job at Quad Studios which later put me on with Roc-a-fella Records. It was there where I watched all the producers, artists, and engineers. I made it my business to learn everyones job so that when it was my turn, I would be the full package. From there I moved on to work with a re-known engineer who help sharpen my craft as a producer. Still in need of substial income, a friend of mine insisted that I learn how to dj because the money was faster. So I learned and jump in. Since then I've worked at every notable spot in NY. Im currently producing tracks for various artist while working on my own project.
