Located in Greenwich Village, the Garage Restaurant has to be one of the best hang out spot in that area. While walking through the village the other night with a couple of friends, I heard live jazz and allowed my ears to lead me to the Garage. It was pretty late, like 1:30AM, but I was so happy to hear live smooth jazz and the dimly lit restaurant gave a perfect "chill" mood. We weren't hungry, but we ordered a couple of deserts and cocktails.
The cheescake and vanilla ice cream was delicious, and the drinks were pretty good. The food smelled so good (again, I can't comment on the food because at that time I wasn't too hungry). I was more in the "jazzy" mood, watching people slow dance to the music, and taking pictures of the talented saxaphonist and piano player.
I have to say, I really enjoyed myself. Between the four of us, 6 alcoholic bevarages and 4 desserts only cost us about $70.00.
