Special Guests Attend the Kidz in the Hall Album Release Party
We got a chance to attend the Kidz in the Hall "The In Crowd" album release party last night at SOBs. I was pleasantly surprised when Travis of Gym Class Heroes, Phonte of Lil Brother, Estelle, and more joined the duo on the stage, not to mention that producer/DJ Just Blaze rocked the crowd before their set. Check this clip above to watch Estelle perform with the Kidz in the Hall. She also performs "American Boy", and was joined by D. Woods of Danity Kane on stage. Sorry for the crazy audio. lol More video footage, pics and re-cap after the jump!
I really like these guys, Kidz in the Hall. Majesty, hold your comments please lol. They are full of personality, and they are bringing something different to the table. Their whole set was entertaining, and I felt like I was at a party, rather than a concert. Of course, they performed their hit "Drivin' Down the Block".
The "Kidz" were also joined by Phonte of Lil' Brother. I don't know about you guys, but before I even heard Lil' Brother's music, I was reading his blog on Myspace. Its hilarious. You should check it out, if you haven't.
Rapper, Skyzoo, also joined the Kidz on stage. He's definitely a talent to look out for.
Travis McCoy made the crowd go wild when he jumped on the stage out of no where. He's also featured on "The In Crownd" and is the only person who can get away with wearing those crazy clothes and still look sexy. Love him. Check the performance:
Estelle came on last and rocked the crowd! I'm feeling her song with Kidz in the Hall, "Love Hangover", which she performed in the clip above. She was actually at Spotlight Live before coming to SOBs, and said that she did three shows that night. That's love and dedication right there.
What up Sickamore! I spotted him in the crowd as I was leaving.
I also had the pleasure of running into Estelle and the lovely D. Woods of Danity Kane. Smile ladies!
All in all, I had a great time. I'm becoming a bit of a Kidz in the Hall stan, being that I go to almost every one of their shows. Oh well, its worth it!
