We had the pleasure of attending
DJ Cassidy's birthday party this past Wednesday at
Cipriani. (Shout out to Denrick!) If you don't know, DJ Cassidy is a celebrity DJ, and he's been in the game for a long time. He's also
Diddy's official DJ. The event was a lot of fun, especially since there were several performances and an open bar sponsored by
Belvedere Vodka and
Moet. There were a lot of celebs who just rolled through to take pics on the red carpet so we missed taking pics of them, however we managed to snap a few celebrity flicks inside as we were having fun and enjoying ourselves.
We walked right past the media frenzy of a red carpet, and as soon as we stepped inside we saw
Jaslene from
Top Model. I would have gotten a pic, but her outfit surprised the hell out of me. I was not ready. I'm sure you've seen the pics on the net already.
Bless of
The Souldiggaz, Nigel (Souldiggaz Manager), and
Swizz Beatz

We spotted celebrity photographer and former
Fab Man of the Week William Springfield inside.
KRS-One performed. His performance was long and "interesting". I'm still a fan.

Artist manager Brandon Duncanson,
Keenya from Top Model (Naima's season, I believe) and Tini

Tini was real happy about the complimentary Belvedere. LOL!

Even though there was an open bar, we weren't tipsy enough to muster up the courage to ask
Diddy for a pic, so we just took one from afar, guerilla style. The huge entourage scared us away.

President of BET,
Stephen Hill was in the building. That man really knows how to party! I always get a kick of seeing him.

Tupac D of
Mad Power Unit. If you're looking for a party in the DC area, he's a good person to know. I used to frequent his events while I was at Howard U.

Bel Biv Devoe performed, and I was ECSTATIC. If it wasn't for the
Retro Kidz, they would have been the highlight of my night! You know every female in the building was goin' off when they did "Poison".

It was DJ Cassidy's event, so you know
O'Neal Mcknight was not far behind. They must have played his "
Check Your Coat" song at least 47 times.
Greg Nice from
Nice & Smooth made an appearance with him as well.

Awww, the
Retro Kidz. I think I'm their biggest fan. I spent most of my night following them around trying to see what they were doing. I love seeing them at parties. Here they are dancing up a storm on stage with
Doug E. Fresh.

Despite the huge, stressful crowd in the front of the venue, the event was a good one. I'm just realizing that I didn't even get a pic of DJ Cassidy. I'm pretty upset about that, but he was too busy having a blast the whole night and dancing on the stage.
DJ Cassidy, we're looking forward to your next party. Don't forget our invite!
