Last night I got the chance to attend the birthday celebration for Teyana Taylor at KUSH Lounge. The party was packed with friends, family, and fans. KUSH is a very nice place to have events, but not events of that size..Check out the rest of the review and pics after the jump..

If you don't know who Teyana Taylor is, she is the young girl from My Super Sweet Sixteen. She is also signed to Pharrell's Star Trak Label. By the way she had one of the best sweet 16s in my opinion, so I expected something just like that for her 18th birthday, but it wasn't has flashy as I expected. Some of the celebrities that came through to show Teyana some love include Day 26, Dawn of Danity Kane, Drake, and Jackie-O. I was really shocked more people around her age didn't show up. I was also surprised Chris Brown wasn't there...

The party took a turn for the worst when Miss. Teyana Taylor showed up. All of her friends and fans started going crazy, knocking people over, spilling drinks, and screaming. I know it's a party, but damn! But, when I tell you Teyana was on point, I mean she was point. She has changed her whole swag. She went from Tomboy Harlem chick to fashionista. She was rocking the Herve Leger Bandage Dress, some pumps, and her hair was cut up and straightened. I am glad to see the change..

During the party I got a chance to speak to my girl Dawn from Danity Kane. She gave me some inside scoop. She is currently in the studio helping Cassie and Diddy with their upcoming album. She is also gearing up for the promotional tour for her comic book. I also had to ask her about the duet between her and Que. She was really shocked that I heard that. She just laughed and said:

"We had good chemistry in the studio, he is an amazing vocalist."

Dawn is such a sweetheart! She is just the type of girl that you can just kick it with in the club.

 

Overall I had a pretty good time at the party. I wish it was more low key, but what do you expect from the Princess of Harlem???
