R&B singer/songwriter, The Dream, had an exclusive album listening session last night at New World Stages right here in New York. I'm a fan of The Dream, so I'm glad I was able to hit this up. The event, hosted by LA Reid, was attended by music industry tastemakers, record label employees, and more. Everyone was also able to preview several tracks off of the album, and we were treated to a live interview with The Dream conducted by Hot 97's Angie Martinez. More details of the event and video of the interview after the jump.

Even though I arrived to the event somewhat late, I really enjoyed myself. I also made it just in time to partake in the open bar, which included consisted of themed drinks such as "Sex" (a fruity drink that included patron and triple sec) and "Dream" (champagne, triple sec).

The actually listening portion of the event was held in a theatre, which made the experience even better. The sound system definitely made a difference, and there was a video montage of sexy silhouettes and photos of the Dream playing on repeat. You couldn't help but really pay attention to every track that was played. I enjoyed every song, but there were a few that stood out to me:

"Rockin' That Sh*t" - The first single off of Love vs. Money. Its not only radio friendly, but I can see this making girls want to get up and dance in the club. "Walkin' on the Moon" - This song features Kanye West sans the singing in autotune. This is a notable track simply for that reason.

"My Love"- This song was just okay, but its notable because it featured Mariah Carey. "Sweat it Out" - Good God! That's all I have to say.

"Let Me See the Booty" - This song features Lil' Jon and was a definite banger. (Where the hell has Lil' Jon been hiding?)

I thorougly enjoyed the album, and I can definitely see it being played on repeat in the strip clubs. All of the songs seem like they were created to either make women feel sexy or get up and dance like no one is watching.

I managed to get some footage of Angie Martinez interviewing the man of the hour with my trusty little iFlip. (I love this thing!) Check out this funny video of The Dream talking about losing 20 pounds, baby making music, touring, and more. Watch as LA Reid comes in and cuts him off when he starts to get a bit too off the chain...

*Warning* The Dream curses like a sailor!
