Reggae artist Mavado was live at Prime in NYC last night, from what I heard it was crazy and packed. He performed six songs including his hit reggae single "So Special". Mavado has been around since 2004, but made it mainstream in 2006 with the single "Weh dem a Do". He has also collaborated with Jay-Z, Foxy Brown, Wyclef Jean, Lil Wayne and few other artists. He is definitely a force to be reckon with in the dancehall scene right now.
