Events: KING Magazine 50th Issue Celebration
Last night, I attended the KING Magazine 50th Issue Celebration @ a private loft in Soho NYC. The event was mad dope, in my opinion. A lot of good people were in the building to celebrate with KING. Hip-Hop industry taste makers truly took over that loft. KING really pulled out all the stops for this event, It was truly a celebration to remember! The event started out pretty slow. I actually had to wait in line to get in, which I was pissed about until I found out that the line was just for the elevator lol..It felt like a reunion--everyone was in there. I guess everyone is back after all the fashion week stuff. Who ever put that party together did a great job, a lot of major people was in there, which is always a good look. It wasn't as exclusive as I thought it was going to be, but it was still some interesting people around.
The party was hosted by the fabulous Dawn Ricahrd of Danity Kane. She looked great, and so does her spread in the magazine. Shout out to 2R's for putting in work! Iwas digging her outfit overall, I am feeling the thrown together look. I hate when people look so done up for these type parties.
The event was sponsored by NUVO! Now I love me some of that stuff, you can never go wrong when Nuvo is there. KING gets a thumbs up from AllThatsFab. And did I mention it was OPEN BAR lol.
The party also had a couple live performances by some of the top artist right now. Busta Rhymes and Ron Browz both hit the stage hard. You already know they performed Arab Money, that for sure got the crowd pumped. Yo rappers and men go hard for KING Magazine. The room was filled with men, it felt like a sausage factory. But if you see some of the spreads in the mag, I can see why.
This was the first KING I have ever seen, in my life. I have always seen the cover, but I never actually looked through it. In the mag this month they look back at all the hottest pics they have had over the years. Now I know the fellas are going crazy. And Miss Christina Milian is on the cover, and that should get a few hormones raging..I know the prison crowd is praising KING right now!
There were tons of random celebs up in there for some reason. NFL plays were also at the event. That truly made the resident wannabe video vixens happy. It was funny seeing the girls take pictures, they just swore they were going to be on the next cover. It gave me a good laugh during the party. Overall the party was pretty dope, it was nice to see some old faces and meet some new ones. I so recommend a KING party, for someone who has never been...
