"The Color Purple" will be doing their first North American tour this year that kicks off in Washington. Fantasia will be back in the musical as the lead role of Celie. The Kennedy Center announced yesterday that she will join the cast for five weeks starting in June. She is definitely has come far for her win on "Americn Idol" in 2004.
