Keri Hilson "In A Perfect World..." Album Review

Keri Hilson has truly shocked the ~~HELL~~ out of me! Miss.Hilson is dropping her debut album, In A Perfect World..., next week on March 24th. I got my hands on an early copy, and I am blown away by her talent. The album is so not what people expected from the Atlanta bred singer/songwriter. She is coming harder than most artists on their first album. Keri is so not a rookie to the game, and that comes through in this album. Rookie is not a word you can tie to Keri Hilson. She is really trying to show people that she is a star, in her own right. She is not just a paper and pencil chick. With heavy production from Timbaland and Polow Da Don, music listener had expectations really high for this girl. In A Perfect World... is a stellar album, that will have Keri on everyone's radar. The album will truly answer this guy's question..I wasn't a huge Keri Hilson fan myself, I just didn't understand what she was trying to do. With all the divas like Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Ciara, where was Keri going to fit in? But she is not trying to fit in, she is trying to make her own spot.

The album consist of 14 dope tracks! The album is one of those straight through listens, and I am known for skipping a couple tracks on an album lol. The album has some very special guest appearances, but not that many. Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Keyshia Cole, Trina, and Lil' Wayne all come with their best on this album. She picked some great people for her debut album, but good she didn't go crazy with the collabs.

Keri's voice is simply pure on this album. She sounds different on like every track, and that's a good trait to have as a singer. You can tell she is a songwriter, because all the songs fit her voice. She didn't try to go above and beyond to show her vocal ability. She knows she ain't Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston, and she ain't trying to be..

Set You Money Up feat. Keyshia Cole & ~~Trina~~...Such a cool ladies anthem, the fellas are gonna hate this track. this should be her next single

Knock You Down feat. Ne-Yo & Kanye West...This track is crazy dope! Everyone plays a great part. I just wonder hwo it was in the studio. This could be a major hit for her

Tell Him The Truth...Now I keep this track on repeat, her voices rides this beat so hard. It reminds me a lot of an old Aaliyah song, kind of made me miss her!

I feel this album was a great debut for this lovely chica. I don't know if it will be a huge hit, but people are going to respect her. She deserves all the success in the world, she came extra hard.
