Russell Simmons was honored by SCAD (The Savannah College of Art & Design) for his contributions to fashion and style. You already know ATF was there for this glamorous event.  The place was hidden when I got there; cloaked in what looked like construction material. I guess this was to deter any stragglers from wandering in and sipping bubbly without an invite. A lot of the guests were dressed to impressed. No Aretha Franklin inauguration hats, but there were some pretty extravagant bows on dresses. Others kept it casual in all black. When Russell and his model girlfriend Julie Henderson walked in a little after seven, the crowd stared, smiled and did their best to pretend they hadn't been checkin for him since 5pm. After receiving the distinguished Etoile Award, he mad a quick exit. No other star sightings but as far as interesting information goes, the bartender laughed at me when I asked him for a cup of 7-Up on the rocks.

Karen and Danny Simmons were also in attendance.
