Letoya Blasts Haters Who Compare Her to Beyonce
It seems as though every female that comes out with a hit song nowadays is always being compared to Beyonce. True, she is a big superstar right now, and is a trendsetter, but is she the end all be all of R&B divas? Everyone from Ciara, and Rihanna, to Keri Hilson is constantly being criticized for "swagger jacking" Bey. Letoya Luckett, being a former member of Destiny's Child, is definitely getting hit extremely hard with the comparisons for obvious reasons.
She recently sat down with Honey, and shared her thoughts on the matter:
“I think that there’s always going to be comparisons. All you can try to do is create your own thing. We’re women, so we all have a lot in common. We can only talk about a couple of things: love, relationships, how he did me wrong, he did me right, or I love him. A lot of us are sisters, but people are going to talk.”
Man, Is that really all there is for female singers to talk about? If that's the case, I might as well just stop listening to music right now and give up, because that is sad as hell.
