As we mentioned earlier this week Santigold had a successful performance to a sold out crowd at Terminal 5 Tuesday night. Opening acts were Amanda Blank & Trouble Andrew. We didn't attend this concert as press---but purely as fans. We didn't mind spending the 30 dollars for the show, and needless to say--- the experience was worth the few bucks!! As we entered the venue, Terminal 5 which is absolutely huge, you could feel the "hipster" aura. Fans wore leggings, ripped up stockings, crazy colors, and clothes from the 80's. That's not so much my style, but I loved being around that crowd.
The show started with Santigold's 2 robotic dancers coming out on stage, which got the whole crowd hype, then Santi came out wearing gold door knocker earrings, gold jacket and earrings, and she rocked the mic for a couple of hours. She performed nearly every song from her album including, L.E.S Artist, Shuv it, You'll Find a Way, Starstruck, and Lights Out. Thecrowd went absolutely crazy when she sang her very popular song ft Drake, "Unstoppable".
Unfortunately, we didn't have our video camera with us, but we were able to find a pretty good video that shows a short clip of Santi doing her thing on stage. I'm definitely happy this is something we didn't miss!
