Friday Music Review: Jeremih, Kid Cudi, Monica & More
Its Friday and we would like to give you some of our favorite videos and new music that debuted this week. From Kid Cudi's "Poke her face" to Beyonce's "Ice Cream Truck", this has been an exciting week for music :).
Jeremih lets us get a sneak peak into his new video for his second single "Imma Star (Everywhere We Are)" off of his self titled album.
The concept of the video is him going from rags to riches. I especially love this girl in the video "Shuga" which is played by video chick Crystal, she does a great job on her ghettofabulousness (lol).

Monica is returning to the music business and she is coming back stronger than ever. She has grown a lot since her "Miss Thang" days..Monica is the mother of two now, so her music has matured a lot. This time around she teamed up with Missy Elliot again on a track called "Lemme Know". The track was written by talented Jazmine Sullivan. The new album is called Still Standing, which is named after her upcoming reality show on BET. We have been waiting a while for Monica to release another album, but she has the tendency to go years between musical projects....

Left and right Beyonce tracks are always getting leaked. Now this track should have stayed in the closet. "Ice Cream Truck" is a song that was most likely left off the I Am... Sasha Fierce album. The lyrics and production are very weak, and that's a surprise coming from this perfectionist. The meaning of the song is cute, but we are so glad it didn't make the album. Overall its a cute song, but not for someone of Beyonce's caliber.

Kid Cudi's "Poke Her Face" "Make Her Say" has been getting a lot of play in NYC for the past few months. Kid Cudi finally shot a video for the hit single, and damn is Common looking good or what ladies?
Myko has been spotted in various major cities with his label Outta Pocket Entertainment owner, Thomas Jones (NY Jets), and we hear he's been in the studio HARD. Well, Myko got on the auto-tune and dropped his single "Crazy". This song would sound "Crazy" (in a good way) in the clubs. Check it out:

Our favorite up and coming female group, Sophia Fresh, dropped a HOT single this week! This has been on repeat on the ipod for days. "What it is" ft Kanye West is on the list for our summer hit.

And finally, the song everyone has been anticipating for quite some time, Jay-Z ft. Rihanna and Kanye West, "Run This Town". Word on the street was that Drake was initially going to be on Jay's first single, but clearly that didn't happen lol. Check it out below. (Kanye absolutely rips it!)
