Usher, Alicia Keys and Quincy Jones attended the 2009 Clinton Global Initiative Citizen Awards last night in NYC.  The organization, led by former President Bill Clinton and the event gathers world leaders, CEOs, philanthropists and nonprofit officials together for a series of seminars and the aim of securing concrete commitments and solutions for such problems as climate change and poverty.   Usher was there for his organization "New Look", which is to encourage its youth to volunteer around the world.  Alicia Keys' was there on behalf of her organization "Keep A Child Alive", which is dedicated to providing life-saving anti-retroviral treatment, care and support services to children and families whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.  Quincy Jones has supported many charity origanizations such as Usher's New Look and GLAAD. Two thumbs up for this event!!!
