Jay-Z has been added to the line up of the celebrity guests to perform during NBC's New Years Eve With Carson Daily on Thursday night. Carson Daily says:

The real star of any New Year’s Eve show is New York City, and Jay-Z is New York."

Well, he sure wasn't lying when he said that. Not only is a clip of Rihanna and Jay-Z performing Run This Town and Umbrella going to premiere that night, but Jay-Z is also releasing the video of  On To The Next One ft Swizz Beatz. In other Jay-Z news,  rumor has it that he's decided to pull a Brad + Angelina Jolie move and carry on his wifey's name, Knowles, by adding it with a hyphenation alongside his last name. So, that's Shawn Knowles-Carter. Cute. We aren't hating. If this rumor is true, then .. why not?

The reason for the name change is to carry on the Knowles name because Beyonce's parents only have daughters.

"They want to keep Knowles because Beyonce's parents didn't have any sons and they're keen to keep the name going strong. Especially if they don't produce any children themselves."
