We were in attendance for up and coming fashion designer LaQuan Smith’s first fashion show yesterday during fashion week. The fashion show was held in the Society of Illustrators building on the east side of Manhattan. We were surprised when we found out that this was LaQuan Smith’s FIRST fashion show ever because the place was packed with notable people: from Misa Hylton and Diddy’s mother, to Vogue’s editor-at-large Andrea Leon who said:

I'm here to embrace an African-American designer for his debut, because we need that diversity in the fashion world. I embrace the American dream that he wants to be a fashion designer. You know Smith is sure to be big if the King of Fashion made time to take in the show. I said to my assistant, 'Clear whatever I have to do Monday - I've got to go to that show."

This 21-year-old self made fashion designer had the crowd floored as beautiful models showed of Smith’s couture designs which embodies class with its unique designs and extravagant colors.
