The Source March Issue Focuses on Haiti

The Source Magazine releases its March issue with an in depth editorial report on the devastating natural disaster that destroyed the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince. Noted as the worst natural disaster in the country's 200 year history The Source compiles over 20-pages of photos, eyewitness accounts, Haitian American reaction and celebrity relief fund efforts to help the weakened city in the new issue.
#237_final cover.indd The pain and suffering of the already-tattered nation was felt through every television and computer screen once news and images broke. None more illustrative than a sobbing Wyclef Jean. Wyclef held a press conference to discuss the needs of Haiti and its citizens, "I do not cry for myself, I cry for us." Tai Saint-Louis, Haitian born journalist describes what she calls "an important day in my life and in my country's history" as a part of the Haiti: 7.0 special report. She gives reaction to what the tragedy means for those Haitians a world away and what steps towards rebuilding need to be made. Readers can check out a 2-page relief guide with a list of organizations explaining where to donate blood, how to adopt orphans, where to volunteer your time, secure ways to donate cash and what perishable goods are most important. We appreciate The Source focusing the March issue on Haiti. People are already beginning to forget about the disaster that destroyed the city of Port-Au-Prince. Be sure to pick up this issue!
