Schwarzenegger Slams Trump: Hopefully You’ll Work As Hard For Americans As You Did For TV Ratings

After cozying up to WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange and Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier in the week, President-elect Donald Trump was not too busy getting ready to run the country to make a few tweets before breakfast on Friday.

One of the Friday tweets from Trump was a not too subtle jab at former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, his replacement as host of “Celebrity Apprentice.” Trump’s tweet harangued the “Terminator” for the ratings dip with his premiere compared to Trump’s final season with the show.

Trump slamming his “enemies” by tweet is pretty much par for the course, and is not going to stop even when Trump takes over as president.

This time, however, Schwarzenegger firmly put The Donald in his place with a thoughtfully worded response.

Schwarzenegger’s tweet read: “I wish you the best of luck and I hope you'll work for ALL of the American people as aggressively as you worked for your ratings.”

That said, if you stop and look at the decline in ratings of “Celebrity Apprentice” over time, we can only hope that Trump is more successful as president than he was at reality TV.
