Stranger Snaps Photo Of Family - Then Mother Realizes Why She Did It

If you've ever gone shopping with a young child in tow, you know how stressful the day can be. Now imagine going with four kids. If you've done it, you're probably nodding about now. If you haven't, you can't imagine the kind of energy you'd expend on a simple trip to the grocery store. No matter how wonderful your kids are, things can quickly fall apart at any moment.

A mom named Jess Wolfe can tell you all about it. She had her four children along with her as she went about her daily chores. At the grocery store, she had more children than she had eyes to watch them.

Wolfe's 7-year-old son wanted to buy something with his own money and complained. Her 6-year-old daughter was grabbing ordinary objects and turning them into weapons on that trip. Her three-year-old daughter was hungry and begging for a doughnut. The mother had a baby strapped to her back in a carrier.

She had her hands, and her back, full, and she was hoping to hurry up and get out of the store as quickly as possible before all hell broke loose. That's when she was approached by a stranger with an odd request.

Wolfe took to Facebook to post about her encounter. "While I was bagging up my groceries (thanks Aldi) and trying to quietly keep from losing my ever loving sh-t, the lady next to me asked if I have one of those phones that takes pictures," she explained.

"Trying not to convey my annoyance to someone else adding to the million questions that make up my day, I replied that, yes I do have one of those fancy phones. She asked to take a picture of me with the kids," Wolfe wrote.

The confused mother couldn't figure out why the lady wanted to take a picture of her and her kids in a grocery store. They weren't exactly dressed up for a family portrait, and pictures were the last thing on Wolfe's mind.

The woman then said something that hit home a little bit. She explained that when her children were young, she barely had any photos of herself with them going about their daily routines and chores. She wished she did, so she was offering to give Wolfe the opportunity.

Wolfe handed the woman her phone and posed with her brood around the shopping cart. Seeing the picture turned the busy mom's day around. "She validated the fact that a simple grocery trip is hard. She told me that what I do matters. She doesn't miss what made the days hard, but she misses what made them sweet. I will always cherish this picture and the message that came with it," Wolfe wrote.

Wolfe would have never expected it, but it turns out that single snapshot is very important to her. It started out as a meaningless trip to the grocery store, and now it's a family moment that she'll treasure.
