People Are Creeped Out By Who Melania Trump's Father Resembles - Strange Similarities

First Lady Melania Trump and her son, Barron, have finally moved into the White House with President Donald Trump. Coming along to help her get settled in were the first lady's parents, and they made a rare public photo op. One photo of Melania's father is being called 'creepy' by many people on the internet because they say he looks a little too much like another famous person they know.

Viktor Knavs, Melania's Trump's father, stepped onto the White House lawn bearing a striking resemblance to President Donald Trump. Mr. Knavs and his wife, Amalija, have not made many public appearances since the President took office, and now that the internet is getting a good look at him, speculations are beginning to fly.

The Yugoslavia (now Slovenia) native is just two years older than his powerful son-in-law. He is a bit heftier, grayer, and apparently has a better hairline because he doesn’t have to work quite so hard at the comb-over. But beyond the minor differences, the two are 'eerily similar', according to an International Business Times U.K. twitter post.

"He could be Trump's stunt double," a Twitter user commented.

"#Freudian #psychology books sold out on #Amazon after pictures of #MelaniaTrump's father go viral," wrote another.

"They even have the same little hands," reported another Twitter user, along with a close-up of Knavs' hand grabbing a railing as he walked down steps.

"Just had a bit of sick in my mouth..." responded another.

Knavs was even dressed like Trump, wearing a dark suit with an extra-long red tie. It was as if he had just raided the POTUS’s wardrobe. That just upped the creepiness factor.

According to scientists, this is probably no coincidence. Humans are biologically driven to pick mates that look similar to their opposite-sex parents. This is a common trait found in all animal species, not just mammals. Even fish will search out mates that remind them of mommy or daddy. There's even a word for it: 'homogamy'.

According to one paper published with the National Center for Biotechnology Information, "...homogamy in humans is attained partly by sexual imprinting on the opposite-sex parent during childhood. We hypothesized that children fashion a mental model of their opposite-sex parent's phenotype that is used as a template for acquiring mates."

It may be science, but it certainly doesn’t help with easing the ‘yuck’ factor.

The Knavs are still residents of Slovenia, but they’ve been spending more and more time abroad. They’ve been spending a great deal of their time between Trump’s New York penthouse, and his Mar-a-Lago estate, in a reported attempt to help Melania with Barron since President Trump took office. They’ve also been spending a lot of time helping Melania with Barron during the last few months at Trump Tower in New York City and Bedminster, New Jersey, near Trump National Golf Club. Apparently, the former salesman is enjoying the life provided by his son-in-law.
