Are Small Breasts Coming Back Into Fashion?

Over the past decade or two, the trend has been towards bigger breasts and bigger breast implants. But is bigger always better? Might the coming years see a shift away from unrealistically enhanced chests and back towards smaller breasts? The Gloss predicts that smaller breasts are starting to come back into fashion.

They point out that the recent hit movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo features Rooney Mara, a beautiful actress with beautiful, small breasts. The film seems to definitely be having an effect on the fashion industry, with retailer H&M releasing a line of movie-inspired clothing. Of course, only time will tell whether the film will have a lasting effect.

Society hasn't always been obsessed with big breasts. Though the modern era of breast implants began in the 1960s, and it might seem that each decade since the introduction of boob jobs has seen bigger fake breasts, that hasn't always been the case. In the same decade that the modern breast implant was introduced, fashion icon Twiggy became known for her thin, small-chested figure, points out The Gloss.

What do you think? Are small breasts about to become 'fashionable' again? Though it's hard to imagine large breasts becoming entirely passe, might we see more women undergoing breast reduction surgery for cosmetic reasons?
