Prevent Bedbugs While Traveling

Bedbugs

We thought is was just a saying "Don't let the bedbugs bite!", but turns out now we mean it. Bedbugs have been back in the news for a little while and are raising concerns with travelers. Here are some tips on what you can do to make sure you stay bug free while traveling

  • Check everything. When traveling check the interior of the car if you rent. In hotel rooms check sheets, pillows, blankets, and furniture for dark spots.
  • Keep items in plastic bags, like luggage, bags, etc., when traveling and keep them off the floor. Use the luggage rack in your hotel room. Also keep purses off the floor as well.
  • When returning home be sure to wash all clothing before you wear it again. Also vacuum any bags and luggage that you traveled with and throw away the vacuum bag when done for extra protection.

If you want to keep extra protected you can travel with a pesticide-free spray called Stop Bugging Me that kills bugs and eggs on contact.
