Add Some Creative Colors To Your Home In Unique Ways

Vivacious colors sure can add some pizazz to a home that is rather dull or monotonous. You don’t necessarily have to repaint your walls either. There are all sorts of ways you can add color to your home without much energy or a lot of money. Here are some things you can try:

1. Add color to the kitchen via colored appliances.

Did you know that it was the Europeans that started adding colorful appliances to their kitchens to add a unique flavor? It might be a bold statement, but bold colors in the kitchen speak courage and adventure! Go with a bright red oven or a red refrigerator.

2. Paint the kitchen cabinets.

Wood cabinets are lovely, but you can always opt to paint your kitchen cabinets a bold or subdued color to give your kitchen the pop that it needs. This is a very inexpensive way to bring color to the kitchen.

3. Paint the front door.

What a great way to introduce guests to the bold and vivacious color right when they get to your front door! You can paint the door any color you like: red, yellow, orange, etc. If you want the color to go with your home décor, choose a color from your theme and go with that.

4. Paint the floor.

If your current hardwood floors are not in the greatest shape, consider painting them a bold color to add vitality to any room. You can choose from any bold color! You can also paint a cement floor.

5. Paint the ceiling.

Want to add a lively touch to the ceiling? Paint it! Choose from bold or light, safe colors. Some people do not like the idea of a bright ceiling, so they opt for colors such as light blue, yellow, or pale gray.

6. Add a bright slipcover to furniture.

Instead of purchasing new furniture, simply add a bright and bold slipcover to add new life to the piece and room.

7. Add bright artwork.

If you want to liven up any room, purchase a large piece of colorful, funky art to hang on the wall. It not only livens up the room but adds texture as well. If you have a creative flair, go ahead and purchase a blank canvas and paint your own modern abstract picture. That way the focal point of that room can be a conversation starter with just about anyone.

8. Think colorful accessories.

There are hundreds of colorful accessories to choose from to add a splash of color to your home. Choose from cushions, throw rugs, pillows, candles, vases, and more. You can even add bright and beautiful flowers to make a room dazzle in color brightness.

Adding color to your home is not only easy, but it is fun and quite rewarding. Go ahead and utilize some of these tips to create a colorful and inviting home that you and your family can enjoy. For more tips, simply do a Google search on “colorful home décor” and sift through the selections that pop up.
